Nick Brown.jpg Dr Nick Brown - BSc, MBBS (UQ), MPhil, MSpMed, FRANZCR

Dr Brown specialises in Interventional Radiology, with particular interests in interventional oncology, thoracic interventions, sports medicine and uroradiology. After graduating from the University of Queensland Medical School, Dr Brown undertook radiology training at The Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

He completed a fellowship in Interventional Radiology at St Vincent’s Hospital Melbourne, with a sub-specialist interest in interventional oncology. He also attained post-graduate qualifications in sports medicine from the University of Queensland and bioscience enterprise from the University of Cambridge, which compliments his work in radiology.

Dr Brown has a number of active research interests in oncology, toxicology and nuclear medicine, and has published numerous papers in peer- reviewed literature. He is an honorary research fellow at The Australian Venom Research Unit and also currently holds academic appointments at the University of Queensland and the Translational Research Institute.

Aidan Callinan.jpg Dr Aidan Callinan, - MBBS (U Syd), FRANZCR

Dr Callinan specialises in vascular and interventional radiology and emergency trauma radiology.

A University of Sydney Medical School graduate, Dr Callinan went on to complete his radiology training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital before undertaking fellowship training in emergency trauma imaging at Vancouver General Hospital in Canada.

Dr Callinan returned to further develop his vascular and body imaging skills as staff consultant and Director of Emergency Radiology at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

He has an interest in non-invasive cardiac imaging and has level A accreditation in CT Coronary Angiography.

Dr Callinan also has an interest in forensic radiology and is a visiting radiologist for Queensland Forensic Services at the John Tonge Centre in Brisbane. He joined Unitingcare Medical Imaging in 2010 and is a welcome member of the interventional and diagnostic radiology teams.

Nicholas Kienzle.jpg Dr Nicholas Kienzle - MBBS (UQ), FRANZCR, EBIR

A University of Queensland Medical School graduate, Dr Kienzle completed his radiology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital before undertaking advanced training in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of British Columbia and Vancouver General Hospital in Canada.

His expertise lies in a comprehensive range of image guided procedures and therapies with a particular interest in abdominal/hepato-biliary intervention and uterine fibroid embolisation.

Nigel Mott.jpg Dr Nigel Mott - BSc (Hons) (UQ), MBBS (UQ), FRANZCR, EBIR

Dr Mott graduated from the University of Queensland Medical School in 2002 going on to complete his residency and radiology training at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. He undertook fellowship training in general and vascular interventional radiology at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne before completing a second fellowship in interventional radiology at the Royal Brisbane Hospital.

He has an interest in general body and vascular interventional radiology including venous access, peripheral arterial intervention, embolisation and pelvic intervention, biliary intervention and renal/ureteric intervention.

Rob Parkinson.jpg Dr Rob Parkinson - MBBS (UQ), FRANZCR

Dr Parkinson specialises in interventional radiology and uro-radiology. After graduating from the University of Queensland Medical School, Dr Parkinson completed his radiology training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He then undertook fellowship training in interventional radiology and uro-radiology at University College Hospital and Middlesex Hospital in London and at Westmead Hospital, Sydney.

Dr Parkinson provides a comprehensive range of interventional radiology procedures including vascular access, vascular intervention, biliary intervention, image guided biopsies and injections. He has expertise in varicocoele embolisation and has published in the field of radio-frequency ablation of renal tumours.

Dr Parkinson has recently been instrumental in the development of the prostate MRI service at Unitingcare Medical Imaging, establishing close ties with an internationally regarded centre in the Netherlands.

Dr Parkinson has been based at the Wesley since 2005 and is available for patient consultations regarding image-guided therapies by referral.

Duncan Walker.jpg Dr Duncan Walker - MBBS, MRCP (UK), FRCR, FRANZCR

Dr Walker is a sub-specialist interventional radiologist with particular interests in musculoskeletal intervention and interventional oncology. Dr Walker also has a particular interest in musculoskeletal and body MRI along with musculoskeletal ultrasound.

A UK medical graduate, Dr Walker completed his radiology training at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals, London and an MRI fellowship at Southampton prior to relocating to Australia in 1994 to take up a staff radiologist appointment at the Royal Brisbane Hospital. Dr Walker joined what is now Unitingcare Medical Imaging in 2000 and along with his colleagues provides a comprehensive subspecialist interventional service for outpatients and hospital inpatients.

Sean Wallace.jpg Dr Sean Wallace - B. App. Sc (Hons) (QUT), MBBS (UQ), FRANZCR

After graduating from the University of Queensland Medical School, Dr Wallace completed his internship and residency prior to commencing radiology training at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital.

He undertook further training in interventional radiology and interventional neuroradiology at the Gold Coast Hospital and cross- sectional imaging at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He completed fellowships in angiography and interventional radiology at Westmead Hospital Sydney and musculoskeletal imaging at Calvary Hospital Hobart.

Dr Wallace provides a comprehensive range of interventional radiology procedures and has been based at the Wesley since 2014.
